On 16th of December at University of Latvia Academic Centre of Natural Science
Innovative Materials for the Development of the Baltic Region National Economy conference will take place.
The aim of the conference is to identify cooperation possibilities between Latvian scientists and business representatives and foreign scientists in terms of development and improvement of new materials.

Conference is dedicated to the following subfields of material sciences
- Optical materials
- Carbon based materials
- Composite materials and material radiation resistance
Leading specialists of material sciences
from
Germany, Denmark, Russia, Italy, Romania, Sweden and Latvia have been invited as speakers. Furthermore, representatives from Fraunhofer Institute, VTT Technical Research Center of Finland, Kaunas University of Technology, Tallinn University of Technology, business representatives from the material sciences industry, as well as members of Baltic Innovative Research and Technology Infrastructure (BIRTI) and its supporters will be attending the conference
