An exhibition dedicated to a large-scale, themed, and stylistically-multishaped water-coloring technique, incorporating three centuries. It marks the varied usage of Latvian watercolor techniques in historical, mythological, and genre paintings, portraits, acts, landscapes, and still life compositions, as well as in book illustrations and theater costume drawings.

Watercolor painting was a popular technique in the second half of the 20th century. At the beginning of the 21st century, watercolor has returned to contemporary art in the form of large-scale paintings, and with their lightness, transparency, and color brightness, they are an emotional experience.
